What is a Snapback?
A Snapback hat is a hat with adjustable snaps on the back of it. These adjustable snaps make it easy for the person wearing the the hat to fit it to their head.
As you can see on the back of this hat, there is a plastic adjustable strap with dots and holes. You pull the dots out of the holes and adjust the hat to fit your head, then you snap the dots back into the holes. You "Snap" the hat in the "Back" and that is where the word Snapback comes from.
Snapback hats are all the rage right now. As with all things, what was old is new again. Snapback hats have been worn since at least the 70's by baseball players. They went out of style when the "Fitted Cap" arrived.
